OUR PASTOR
Bishop Rickie & Dr. Debra White
Bishop Rickie L. White is a native Texan who was raised in Houston, Texas. On February 24,
1973, he married his beloved wife, Debra Williams White. Their union was blessed with two
children, Rickey White and LeChaundra White.
Bishop White received his early education through the Houston Independent School District, where he
earned his high school diploma. His commitment to spiritual growth and biblical scholarship led him to
pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor of Theology from Cornerstone Seminary and a Doctor of
Religious Philosophy from Tabernacle Bible College and Seminary. On September 15, 2001, he received
certification as a Christian Therapist (Christian Counselor). He later completed his studies for episcopal
consecration through the Graduate School of Episcopal Studies in May 2019.
Bishop White began his ministry journey on June 9, 1974. After serving faithfully for nine
years as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Reverend Adam Daniels, Sr., he answered
the call to pastoral ministry. On March 20, 1983, he was installed as Pastor of his home
church, St. John Missionary Baptist Church. On January 29, 1995, the church was renamed
Oasis Christian Center Church.
On January 30, 2016, Bishop White accepted the call of God and the invitation of his longtime
friend, the late Bishop Dorothy Washington, to continue the work of the ministry she
founded, Good News Church, located at 8400 Boone Road in Houston, Texas. Under Bishop
White's God-directed leadership, Oasis Christian Center Church and Good News Church
transitioned from two locations into one unified ministry. On March 15, 2022, God
established a new season for the ministry as the two churches became one under the name
Agape Christian Fellowship Church.
Today, Bishop Rickie L. White continues to serve as Senior Pastor of Agape Christian Fellowship Church,
a vibrant and thriving ministry committed to reaching across cultural, generational, and social
boundaries so that the message of Christ may be proclaimed with simplicity, clarity, and accuracy.
Known as an exceptional teacher of the Word, Bishop White communicates biblical truth through
relatable illustrations, practical demonstrations, and insightful revelation. His straightforward
approach, often accompanied by a touch of humor, has encouraged and empowered countless lives.
Beyond the pulpit, Bishop White has dedicated himself to serving the community. Through partnerships
and independent efforts, he has helped provide food, clothing, school uniforms and supplies, COVID
testing, rental assistance, and other essential resources. Under his leadership and community outreach
efforts, approximately 1,500 families have been impacted through after-school enrichment programs
and summer camps; 2,000 students have been served through youth basketball and volleyball leagues;
3 million meals have been distributed through food service ministries; and nearly 100 individuals have
received assistance through unhoused support services.
The ministry has also helped individuals experiencing homelessness obtain vital documents, including
birth certificates, Social Security cards, and identification cards, while assisting them with access to
benefits such as food assistance and medical resources. Additionally, the church has served as a
warming and cooling center, providing shelter, care, and hot meals to those in need.

make a lasting impact by advancing the Kingdom of God through love, service, unity, and
transformational leadership.
